  I live in Anderson, California, (ten miles south of Redding) and wanted to attend the Greek Orthodox church in Redding, so I wrote the priest a kind letter and explained that I would like to attend his church, but live in Anderson and do not have transportation. I also explained that I left the Old Calendarist movement and wanted to be reconciled with the mainstream Orthodox Church. This priest, Fr. Nectarios, never lifted a finger to help me, and never even responded. This is pure selfishness. I then sent him two other letters, and never heard back. This is unlike the teaching we find in the New Testament, how Christians are supposed to love their neighbors and strangers. I have no prior history with this priest, have never met him, and do not even know his name. However, I knew the original priest, Fr. Gregory, and liked him very much. Selfish men like the new priest should never be ordained. They are not the right material.
